Esposito joined Goldman Sachs in 1995 as a salesperson for emerging markets debt, before subsequently being named managing director in 2002 and partner in 2006. He also led Deutsche Bank’s corporate financing business in India and contributed heavily to the development of the bank’s structured finance business across south and southeast Asia.

JP Morgan appointed a new head of global equities amid wider changes to senior leadership in its markets division. According to an internal memo published on Thursday 15 February, Rachid Alaoui has been appointed head of global equities at JP Morgan. He joined JP Morgan in 2005 as a trader on the equity exotics desk in London.

Coincidentally, in that same year, The National Securities Markets Improvement Act of 1996 was passed, allowing private equity funds of all types to raise large pools of money from an unlimited number of institutional investors. According to Wells Fargo, in 2023 there are five times as many private equity-backed firms in the U.S.

She began her career as an analyst at the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) in 2002.

They’re typically used in equities given that this asset class trades on exchange unlike fixed income and some foreign exchange assets.
