The global head of capital markets at German asset manager DWS, Keshava Shastry, has left the business, according to two people with knowledge of the matter, The TRADE can reveal. Keshava Shastry Shastry, a managing director based in London, had been with the German firm for over ten years. DWS declined to comment.

MetLife Investment Management (MIM) has reached a definitive agreement to acquire three investment teams and assets managed by Mesirow, an independent financial services firm. Nearly $6 billion of assets managed by the acquired team will transfer to MIM, under the terms of the transaction.

Jamie McKenna was appointed vice president, senior global equity trader at State Street Global Advisors (SSGA) following almost two decades at GMO trading. Boston-based McKenna joined GMO in 2004 as a pricing analyst, and most recently worked in a multi-asset trading role for 15 years.

As part of a major scheme from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) to develop the region as a global FX trading hub, several large banks over the last few years agreed to develop FX pricing and trading engines in Singapore, in partnership with MAS. This year, the industry has seen interest in Singapore grow from the buy-side too.
